Every fall, something magical happens off the beaten path in East Austin. A community of wanderers, cyclists, and music lovers gathers under the night sky for The Secret Show.
It’s an evening built on a simple promise: adventure rewarded by enchantment.
If you’ve been to a Secret Show in the past, you know the thrill of riding or hiking into the unknown. But if you think you know what to expect for 2026, think again. We change things up every single year—and this November, we’re leveling up the magic for what promises to be one of the most unique nights you’ll experience all year.

What’s New for 2026?
🦊 1. Our First-Ever Theme: ANIMALS!
For the very first time in Secret Show history, we have a theme! We’re inviting everyone to channel their wild side under the autumn sky. Costumes are highly encouraged (though never required)—whether you bring a simple pair of creature ears or go full forest fauna, bring your wildest energy to the woods.
📽️ 2. Live Visual Projections in the Trees
We’re bringing immersive visual projections deep into the forest canopy. As music fills the air, light and visuals will illuminate the surrounding trees, transforming our secret clearing into a living, glowing work of art.
🎠3. One Epic Central Stage
In past years, performance spots were scattered along the walking paths. This year, we are bringing everyone together around one single, central stage. The entire night builds toward a shared, collective experience where the whole neighborhood can gather, react, and soak in the music together.
🥾 4. An Ultra-Short Hike Option
Want all the magic of an off-grid woodland concert with a quick, low-effort trek? We’ve added a super-short 500-foot hike option this year. It’s perfect for anyone wanting a swift path to the clearing while keeping the stage accessible to all adventure levels.
(And for our performers: we’ve added a gear drop-off location much closer to the stage, making load-in smoother than ever!)
Built by the Neighborhood, for the Neighborhood
The Secret Show is a true labor of love organized by East Austin local A. Litsa, owner of Dear Diary Coffee, and inspired by Lindsay of Little Mazarn’s legendary creek shows from the 2010s.
Because this is a grassroots community event, everyone gets to be a part of bringing it to life. When you sign up, you can express interest in performing on stage or joining the inner circle of volunteer organizers who make the magic happen behind the scenes.
