Adel

Adel (they/them) has many years of coffee experience, and dreams of opening their own shop one day.

Adel is almost always the one who dials in our machines in the morning so we serve our best espresso and drip coffee throughout the day.

Callie

Callie (she/her) is one of the most kind people on the planet, and is a big reason Dear Diary Coffee has such a friendly, welcoming vibe. Callie loves Adventure Time, and is currently working on a huge paper mâché recreation of Finn and Jake’s treehouse.

Dean

Dean (he/him) is a smooth operator. Did you know he makes candles? If Dear Diary smells amazing, it’s probably thanks to Dean.

Karly

Karly (she/her) is the owner of Sugar Bush Bakery by day and a barista… also by day! You can find her sfouf cake, cookies, and other treats at Dear Diary Coffee, Genuine Joes, Royal Blue Grocery.

Litsa (rhymes with 🍕)

Litsa (she/her) was inspired to create a coffee shop for artists in 2004, after she had moved to Austin and made her first friends at art meetups. Sixteen years later, she had finally accomplished her goal! She hopes her shop will inspire friendships and contribute to Austin’s creative community.

Tamlinn

Tamlinn (he/they) has the most culinary experience on our team, and he is a talented songwriter and musician. Tamlinn also happens to be our fearless team leader! If you love one of our seasonal specials, chances are, Tamlinn invented it.

Rusty Paige

Caroline (she/her) has been our amazing, super chill open mic host since 2021. She performs solo as Rusty Paige, and she is also the leading lady in a band called The Benefit of Doubt. We’re really thankful to Caroline for bringing the vibe Sunday nights. If you’re looking for a very laid back, friendly open mic environment, Rusty Paige’s Open Mic is the one!
